new solo album in august

Through the past 7 years I have been collaborating regularly with composer Martin Lohse on a series of works which has now been recorded for a solo album released on both Vinyl and cd. The release concert will be the 11th of august and will be held in the new “black-box” auditorium of The Royal Academy of Music being the first concert to take place in this brand new venue.

Nielsen TURNS 150 – upcoming performance with the Danish Chamber Players

In the coming months I will be performing my own transcriptions of two Carl Nielsen symphonic favourites together with The Danish Chamberplayers aka. Storstrøms Kammerensemble. The hymn-like and atmospheric piece Saga Dream together with the powerful Helios Overture from 1903. The programme will also include some of Nielsens most important musical ‘children/grand-children’ such as Vagn Holmboe and Per Nørgård. Looking very much forward!

So far my first big project which includes the use of this wonder will be premiering a new opera by Karsten Fundal in 2015. More on this later. Thanks to Oticon Fonden, Augustinus Fonden and Den Obelske Familiefond their support in realizing this unique instrument.
