As a musician of great curiosity, Bjarke Mogensen is constantly exploring new ways of using his instrument in new combinations of genres and constellations. Therefore Bjarke’s own concert programmes mostly includes brand new works often dedicated to him by some of Scandinavia’s most prolific composers.
His repertoire spans transcriptions of the classical music of composers such as Bach, Mozart, Scarlatti, Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov to a huge programme of original literature with compositions by Sofia Gubaidulina, Poul Ruders, Per Nørgård and many others.
His repertoire includes works for solo accordion, chamber works in various combinations of instruments, as well as concertos for accordion with symphony orchestra.

Through intensive collaboration with composers in Denmark and abroad Bjarke Mogensens concerts often include world premieres of new works for solo accordion, chambermusic or concertos for accordion and orchestra.
